My mother bought a blatantly American quiz book to inflict on us all. One of the questions was to recite the Pledge of Allegiance. It's been ten years since I was in the States, and I could recite up to "one nation, under God, indivisible". Oh dear.

The new bed is here and it is about three feet off the ground which scared me so badly I actually fell out of it the first night and eventually (by which I mean at midnight) gave up on sleeping in it and slept on the trundler instead. I HATE IT SO.

Said new bed has indirectly caused me to do the 40 Hour Famine this year...
